The REI Hobitat 4 tent has become increasingly popular since it was launched. This 4 person, 2 season tent, has become synonymous with summer family camping. It is recommended for car camping and beach camping. This is extremely for a spacious four person tent and because of its unique design, the hobitat 4 tent has a pretty high ceiling. A 6 ft tall man can easily stand upright in this tent. It has one large door in the front and 3 large mesh windows on the side for ventilation. The mesh has had some complaints that it is not fine enough to keep all insects outs(no-see-ums in particular) , but REI claims that it has a good mesh
Also, the tent is completely waterproof. I tested this out at the Oregon coast last summer, and it worked great.
Assembly Of Tent:
At first the tent seems a little complex, but you will easily get the hang of it in a few minutes. But this tent does require 2 people to setup and can be setup even faster if more people pitch in. If you want to do your homework there is a good assembly video available for the Hobit 4 tent.

And in case you are having second thoughts it comes with a limited 1 Yr Warranty, so if it starts ripping you can get it replaced or fixed. It is very luxurious with peak height of 80” (6 ft 8inch), so there is plenty of head room. Another good thing I like about this tent is that it has 2 doors, so you conveniently sneak out in the mornings without waking everyone up. Also, there are many mesh windows on the sides so you can control the draft of air inside the tent.
Since this is a family tent it comes with plenty of interior pockets and also electric ports.
